You know I had to go back to Las Vegas. What better reason than Electric Daisy Carnival? None. I decided soon after I got home from Life is Beautiful that I was going back for North America’s biggest dance festival.

I have been wanting to go to EDC for a very long time but each year it just hasn’t worked out. This year with my flexible work hours it worked out quite well 🙂 ! I had to bring Lindsey along with me, so that was a good time.

We decided to stay at the Stratosphere because I saw it the first time in Vegas, and I really wanted to do the sky jump, we’ll get to that later. Anyway, the stratosphere was a super nice hotel, the casino was nice and the bars were top notch, lol. Everyone else arriving that day was for EDC, we ended waiting in line for like an hour just to check in.

Once we got to our room we unloaded all our crap and started planning out what exactly we were going to do. We got there Thursday and the festival didn’t start until the Friday so we had a night to relax and check out the sights/food Vegas had to Offer.

We walked up and down the strip, checking out some really cool shops, ended up buying fucking clothes, smh. We checked out the bars, ran into a dam robot making drinks! Lol it was crazy, and that robot made a dam good drink, I tell you what! We checked out the hotels and casinos as well but we didn’t gamble really, we didn’t want to lose all our money the first night.

We did stumble upon, Johnny Rockets, inside The Flamingo, and wholy shit am I glad we did. That place is bomb, and I’m not gonna lie, we both love In-N-Out Burger but we both think we may like Johnny Rocket’s More! If you can believe it!? It was that good, I’m not gonna try to even come up with the words again, it was hard enough the first time when I left them this Awesome Review!

We went to The Hard Rock Cafe Casino/Venue, totally saw DJ Khalid on our way in and it was super crazy, only because no one else really noticed him. I’ve seen famous artists before and its crazy but for some reason its even crazier when your the only one that notices them, he was low key af, I would have talked to him but he was on the phone, perhaps thats why no one else was bothering him lol. I bet he does that to move thru a crowd, he skirted off in a mini van with like 8 doods, weird as shit and super crazy that I had to make a video of it. Lindsey didn’t even notice him, but the funny thing is was she was trying to take a picture of the sign above the doorway and totally snapped a pic of him by accident, everything but him is blurry in the picture lmao!

Of course we had to check out the legendary fountain. I thought it was gonna be lame and overrated but dam was that a badass fountain lol. It shot like 60 feet in the air and it had crazy lights and the lights and fountain were synced with some jamming music, it was pretty tight, I wasn’t expecting all that. I just thought it was a fountain that shot up like 15 feet every so often, that shit was a show in its self lol.

After we checked out the strip and all that good stuff we headed back to our room to get a lil rest before the festival started. We woke up a lil early and moved our chill sesh up to the pool where the tunes were on point, I was pulling soundhound out for literally every song lol. The pool was on the roof and it had really cool chill spots and a pretty sick bar, and you already know the view was stellar. It was crazy how many people were in Vegas for EDC, almost everyone up chilling at the pool was going. Met a lot of cool people.

First Night of EDC

Getting to EDC was a journey all in its self, the traffic was way crazier than I had even imagined, but once we got out our uber and headed to the line, we got in fairly quickly, and the security checkpoint was a breeze, didn’t really check out bags, barely a pat down, so that was nice, made the lines move very quickly. Once we walked up the ramp and got eyesight over the hill, the electric sky was revealed to us, literally one of the craziest-cool looking things I have ever seen, it was like a living organism I cant even describe how much shit was going on.

The lineup was seriously stacked for all three days, which was awesome because I had to buy tickets for this festival before the lineup even dropped, so I was worried, but in the end I was not disappointed.

The first night the people I had to see were; Lauren Lane, JOYRYDE, Mike Will Made-it, Kaskade, Chevvy Chase, Diplo, Borgore, Excision. We saw them all and they all killed it, we saw some other people through the night but I don’t remember the names. Throughout all of this amazing music, we were constantly stumbling upon something new and crazy, it was so fascinating to see how much work they put into this festival. It was so big and awesome that the moment I walked in I got a little sad that it only lasted 3 days, lol. There was a lot of really cool and nice people, like usual, always nice leaving “real life” where you usually have to deal with asswholes, and go hand out with a bunch of awesome like minded people, always a good time!

There was a shit ton of people here, I knew it was North America’s biggest dance festival but I had no idea it was going to be as crazy as it was, and that was only Friday, the least busiest day of the festival. It was crazy, but the crowd was so awesome and their was nothing but good vibes, there was only one show that the crowd was shit, I’ll cover that when we get to the third night, but other than the 1 show, the crowd was really crazy. I’ve been to a lot of festivals, concerts, and shows, but I have never been to a festival (Biggest One in my Country) where you could get literally right up front and have 3-5ft all the way around you to dance, it was amazing, everybody was with it, usually its cramped and you never have room to really dance if you get close, you all just kinda bounce together lol.

We smashed on the food pretty quick, it was like we were trying to taste every option the first night. I will say my all time favorite food truck there was called Burgerfest, I got some BBQ Bacon burger, good this may have been the best burger I have ever eaten, I should really find them online and leave them a good review lol.

After we ate everything in the place we headed back to try and get some rest before the next onslaught of epicness.

Second Night of EDC

We walked around and tried to experience everything we missed the first night, I think you could be there a week before you saw half the shit there. There were some really cool light installations that we were chilling in and we met some cool people that we kicked it with for awhile, I believe they were from Indiana as well, small world. We saw; Moksi, Strange Club, Detlef, Space Jesus, Toneshifterz, Tiga, Kygo, Hardwell, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Zeds Dead, NGHTMRE, Cheat Codes, and various others throughout the night. Everyone I just listed straight killed it, kygo and tiesto back to back was epic then they did a set together, shit was insane. Kygo is becoming a quick favorite of mine. It was my first time seeing toneshifterz, I thought they were pretty sick. This was my second time seeing cheat codes, there dope as hell. I don’t even remember the ride back to the hotel that night, I passed out the second we got in our uber, good thing too cuz the traffic was ridiculous!

Third Night of EDC

The third night was, excuse my language, FUCKIN INSANE, I’ve never seen so many people in my life. I thought the first few nights there were a shit ton of people, but the last night was like double that. I wish I would have taken a video of what it was like, we were moving in huge herds, everyone just pushing forward to get to the next show, it was the craziest thing. If someone would have tripped their poor souls would have been trampled. The third night we found out post Malone was gonna be there lol so we were like shit we gotta see him. We were actually seeing Big Wild at the same stage right before hand so it worked out perfect. Big Wild was insane, I Hope I have videos of him straight killing it, he’s insane! Then post was next and the crowd started to shift, we got a good spot but not too close. But it didn’t matter he drew a huge crowd, before we knew it we were packed tight as shit could barely move. And of course you had people just showing up trying to push there way to the front, which is fine if your cool about it but these people were asswholes pushing people and shit trying to fight, not a cool vibe, but still we stayed to see post. But that post malone crowd was definitely the only negative thing about EDC. We saw Borgeous, GRAVEDGR, Big Wild, Rezz, Headhunterz, Post Malone, Zedd, Tchami, Eric Prydz, Black Tiger Sex Machine, 1080p, Martin Garrix, Zomboy, Afrojack and others that night. They all killed it, my favorites were Big Wild and Headhunterz, such insane shows.

All in all, Electric Daisy Carnival was by far the most insane festivals Ive been to, I feel like I didn’t even get to experience it all, I don’t think theres anyway you could in that short amount of time, I might just have to go back.

Plus while EDC’s going on the have something called EDC Week where all the clubs and venues got sick shows and after parties, you could easily spend thousands on tickets alone.

So much to do, for anyone thats never gone, I would highly recommend going! Totally worth the money!

The picture above is a french toast breakfast sandwich and is was dope. go get it. at roxys.
