Life is Beautiful was a very unique experience as it was my first time attending the festival as well as my first time being in Las Vegas, I had been there once before, but I was young so that doesn’t count, the only memory of that I have is Treasure Island lol. Anyway, Life is Beautiful had an amazing line-up, and after having to skip the amazing line-up that Camp Bisco had to offer I had to make it to Life Is Beautiful, I made all my arrangements months in advance and invited my friend Paige to come with me.

I didn’t expect anything less when I found slot machines in the boarding area and throughout the airport, to be honest it seemed more like a casino than an airport. That might be a bit of an exaggeration but you get my point. I think I had to wait a while for Paige’s plane to land, I stopped in a bar and got a lil pregame in before we hit the town.

We took an uber from the airport to our hotel and driving into downtown Vegas was a treat, the place doesn’t even seem like a city, its more like a giant theme park, or at least that’s how It feels for me. We stayed at “The D” which was right down the street from the Life Is Beautiful Festival on Fremont. The hotel was super nice and their casino was nicely laid out, we didn’t walk away with millions but I do have a 0.05 voucher from that casino so you know, that’s something, lol.

The first day of the festival was incredible, we had some tasty drinks and had some amazing food. Their were about 25 different food trucks their, each one a unique and delicious choice for any hungry belly. They had some really cool art displays, like the art motel and all these other buildings dedicated to art which had amazing pieces from artist all over.

The people at this festival, like most other festivals, were all about peace and positive vibes, its so nice to get away and spend a week listening to awesome music with such like-minded people. We met a lot of people and I actually ended up talking to a news reporter and landed a interview with her and ended up on the news, lol. Paige got a video and you can see it online, I I have to download it before they delete it, we talked for ever, I really popped, but then they cut me up into like 15 seconds and make me look dumb, lol oh well.

Through the three days of the festival we heard some amazing sets by Lorde, 2 Chains, Slightly Stoopid, Zeds Dead, Tchami, Big Gigantic, Kaskade, Wiz Khalifa, Schoolboy Q, Tycho, Lil Dicky, Gorillaz, The XX, Pretty Lights, MGMT, De La Soul, Vince Staples, Pusha T, Big Wild and a few others. Each performance was top notch, I loved every minute of it. Pretty Lights had the best set hands down, it was perhaps my favorite set I’ve seen of him and I’ve seen quite a few, the lights were on point. Another show that was sick was Slightly Stoopid, I’ve been wanting to see them for a very long time, and they did not disappoint.

The Festival grounds were littered with amazing art pieces, like this bear that was poly-art, it was super psychedelic and had amazing colors when lit up at night. There were super detailed murals on all of the walls, we were surrounded by such awesome art on all sides it was easy to get lost.

All in all the festival was amazing and as long as they have a good line-up I would recommend going, it was money well spent.

Unfortunately we were only in Vegas for a few days for the festival so we had limited time to check out the entire city. I wanted to bungee jump off the needle down there but we didn’t have time. Another thing we wanted to check out was the pawn shop featured in Pawn Stars, but again ran out of time. One cool thing we did do, was go to a Criss Angel Show, and let me tell you that blew my freaking mind! If you are thinking about going I would say stop thinking and just do it!! Me and Paige walked out of there questioning reality, that’s how good it was, he’s incredible and I tip my hat, he really is the mind freak, lol. We also hit up the zip line on Fremont and that was really cool, it wasn’t too much money and I would say its worth it, plus you can buy pictures of yourself at the end, its a lot of fun, better try it.

We had a lot of fun going to Vegas, had a lot of of laughs, A LOT OF GOOD FOOD, met some cool people, lost some money but walked away with 4 cents, I plan on coming back for EDC 2018, so that’s a good time I look forward to.
